Key Responsibilities
As a poultry farm worker, your daily tasks will include:
- Feeding, handling, and caring for poultry and other livestock.
- Monitoring animal health, identifying signs of illness, and reporting concerns.
- Tracking and maintaining feed inventory levels.
- Cleaning and maintaining stables, barns, pens, and coops.
- Setting and monitoring water lines, air flow, and temperature to ensure optimal living conditions for poultry.
- Supporting breeding programs, both pasture and pen-based.
- Assisting in the development and implementation of farm safety and biosecurity protocols.
- Supervising general farm workers and harvest laborers when required.
- Overseeing livestock and crop production programs to ensure productivity and compliance with farm standards.
