The Offer

We are seeking a dairy assistant who is dedicated and passionate about assisting with daily tasks on both our Herringbone and Rotary dairy platforms. This is an excellent chance for someone who loves farming and taking care of animals and wants to build a rewarding career in New Zealand’s growing dairy industry.

As a dairy assistant, it will be essential for you to keep high standards for animal welfare, milk quality, and the overall performance of the farm. You will be part of a group that values honesty, collaboration, and leadership.

Main Responsibilities

  • Perform your daily tasks while ensuring that milk and cleanliness standards are met.
  • Keep strict standards for animal welfare and support programs that help animals stay healthy.
  • Help with general care of livestock, such as feeding and calving.
  • Taking care of the farm’s vehicles, machinery, and buildings
  • Use two-wheelers and side-by-sides to move farm equipment.
  • Keep records of and track information about the health of your animals and the amount of milk they produce.
  • Take an active role in health and safety programs.
  • When needed, help plan the feed and rotate the paddocks.
  • We are looking for individuals with strong work ethics and the ability to manage their time effectively.
